Most of us have extremely busy schedules these days. Finding spare moments to go shopping is usually last on our list, but sometimes it's a necessity. Birthdays, holidays, and special occassions make gift buying something we all need to do. Add in buying basic items for yourself or home, and there is a lot on the list of things to do. But how do you find time, or where do you look to take care of it as quickly as possible? 1)Plan Ahead. Scheduling tasks or making lists is a huge time saver. If you can make a list of everything that needs to be done, you will not forget to do anything important, and you can mark things off methodically. Many times if the list gets bigger and bigger, if we do not write down the things we have to do, some things will be forgotten or left out. Making a list also allows you to plan when you will do what. If you do not have a good plan of your list, it takes longer to finish. 2)Mulitask. Try to do a few things at the same time. This sounds at first difficult, but for example while watching television you can passively get a lot done. Things that do not take 100% of your focus can be done while watching tv shows or movies, such as paying bills, clipping coupons, ironing or working on the to do list above! 3)Leave some room. Schedules & plans are important, but things come up. Especially when you are married and have a family. Leave yourself some room for emergencies or interruptions. Make a strict schedule, but give yourself 20% of your day free for the things that are impossible to plan. By being very organized with your list, it actually will be easier to deal with last minute unexpected problems. 4)Use your bookmarks. You do not have to use a search engine to keep finding those great sites you forget about. Use your bookmarks so you can keep going back to the ones where you find the best deals and save time by not having to remember what the name of the site is, or search for it using a search engine. Mix popular sites with traffic together with newer more advanced sites to get the best of both worlds. Classifieds sites, auction sites, or retail sites are all good bookmarks to keep in your browser. Online classifieds is a great place to shop for used items, online auctions you can find both new and used, and online retail sites you can find mainly new products. When you start managing your time better, you will find yourself with more time to do your shopping or relax in general! |
